Gambian Independence Weekend Protest is scheduled for Saturday 20th February 2016, in
London, United Kingdom. UK Gambian activists will gather to hold public protests commemorating The Gambia’s 51st Independence anniversary at the Trafalgar Square in London.
Participants will converge at Trafalgar square by 12 midday and proceed to 10 Downing Street, where a petition will be delivered to the British Prime Minister’s office.
Please Support Alhagie Ceesay who is currently in grave condition. Held in jail and tortured since July 2015 for doing his job as a journalist. Prison conditions are so inhumane that he was recently diagnosed with an enlarged liver.
Do not wait until you are personally or directly affected before you take action against the dictatorship in the Gambia but let us be proactive and make sure we see the end of Yahya Jammeh’s brutality in our dear Gambia.
