Dictator Jammeh: Intimidation and Fear are Things of the Past, as Jammeh Warned to “Crushed and Bury any Protester 9 Feet Deep”

The Gambia deranged despot leader, Yahya Jammeh is on the country wide tour, which began on Tuesday 17th May 2016. Jammeh began his tour at the border town in North Bank Region of Farafenni, and speaking publicly for the first time on Wednesday 18th May, about the political unrest in the country, Jammeh threathen to bury any opposition protesters nine feet deep and no Westerner country can say anything about that.

It can be recalled that, protest for electoral reforms led by the United Democratic Party (UDP) youth leader Solo Sandedng, broke out on 14th April 2016 which led to the arrests, torture and detentions of dozens of protesters in the country. Subsequently, Solo Sandeng was savagely tortured to death while under the custody of the security forces. Meanwhile, as a reult of these brutalities, the UDP executives led by Lawyer Ousainou Darboe also took to the streets on 16th April to demand the release of Solo Sandeng and Co “Dead or Alive.” The security forces also reacted with brute to arrest, brutally torture, detain and subsequently charge Darboe and Co. Yahya Jammeh Release Baby Aisha’s Mum, Kaddy Fatty as She can’t Wait to Be Hugged, Loved and Cared for

Yahya Jammeh we all know one thing is true of every human being is conscience, we all have a conscience, but how can you not use yours to realise that to imprison someone without any ground is completely wrong and inhumane. Especially, Kaddy Fatty a mother to a 4 week old baby Aisha, who is deprived of her basic human and fundamental rights to be with her mum. Kaddy was arrested on the 9th May, while on her way home at Kairaba Avenue,  from attending her husband, Momodou Fatty’s trial who was arrested together with Lawyer Ousainou Darboe on the 16th April 2016. Remember Yahya Jammeh, you’re a family man and therefore there is no need to remind you how traumatic, disoriented and lurid you will be if this was done to your children, Mariam and Muhammed.
We all want to be treated in the best way possible, so why can’t you not treat everyone in the best way possible, especially women that are innocent of any crime. Since 1994, you have been saying you love Gambian women and you will do everything possible under the sun for them, but yet still you deny the same women their rights to be with their families for doing nothing. Yet still baby Aisha is denied the right to be nursed by her mum.  Continue reading

Since the unlawful arrest and torture to death in custody on the 14th April 2016 of the United Democratic Party (UDP) youth leader, Mr Ebrima Solo Sandeng and the subsequent arrest of the party leader Lawyer Ousainou Darboe and his executives on the 16th April, the government of The Gambia has continued to arrest and intimidate people who openly show their unreserved support against Yahya Jammeh’s persecution of political opponents. Most of the arrestees are arrested on the 9th May 2016 whose only crime is to demonstrate their support for Darboe and Co. Mostly, they are secretly arrested overnight and most of them are tortured and detained incommunicado without any contacts with the outside world. The following is the list of names known to be arrested so far and it will be worthy for people to share this list:
